La Tasca is a chain of Spanish restaurants with warm rustic décor. It serves a combination of over 30 tapas dishes and paellas along with a wide range of Spanish wines and beers.Vegetarian tapas include Patatas a la Pobre which is fried potatoes sautéed with onions, red and green peppers (regular size is £2.75, grande is £3.25). Meat tapas include Albondigas a la Jardinera which is meatballs served with vegetable and tomato sauce (£3.80). the Paella are for a minimum of 2 people and include Paella de Marisco which is seafood paella with prawns, squid, mussels, monkfish and tuna (£9.95 per person).
A bottle of house wine costs £11.75 and expect to pay around £20 for dinner and drink per person. There are also 3 party menus available at various prices.

 Juliet Monday, September 10, 2007 | Rating: I used to really like La Tasca but after our experience on the 5th September I would highly recommend that you do not go here! This is mainly because at the end of our meal we spied a mouse running along the floor, around our feet (as did many other diners) - not a nice experience! On reporting this to the staff, they shrugged it off saying it was a commen problem at this restaurant - not what you want to hear when you have just eaten their food. So gross! I think the clear message is if you do not like rodents dont go here.... 2  1  3 = 2/105410 |
