We did have high expectations of this restaurant but the service was SHOCKING to say the least. We booked a reservation for 8.30pm and on our arrival of 8.33pm we thought we would be greeted with a warm welcome and a ready dressed table to be seated at. Instead we were greeted with the manner of confusion as we told the staff of our reservation, who then just walked off and returned to tell us our table will be ready in 1 minute. We waited patiently, still looking forward to a nice evening, but 5 minutes later we were told they were just dressing our table. We saw a sense of panic as more customers arrived and 10 minutes later we were guided to our table, but to our disbelief the table was not set, only for the waiter to throw our cutlery on the table and rush off without giving us the menu to tend to the other customers arriving at the door. The manager walked passed and asked if we were waiting for our food, our immediate response was that we had been left waiting for the menu for 10 minutes!! Apologetic, the manager brought us the menu and we finally got to order our food. Throughout the night we heard the manager apologising on more then several occasions to other customers. All in all the service was APPALLING, the starters were excellent, the main course was DISSAPOINTING, with a watery duck curry and an over cooked pad thai and to top it all off they even ran out of the red wine we wanted. |

I always look forward to going to the Gt Nep. It is a compact family run restaurant. Gopal and his sons Gitendra and Keiron ,maintain excellent standards and service. They always have a ready smile for old familiar faces. I love the Haku Choyala. Great value menu for 2-4 patrons. Very popular place now where you may see very well known faces rubbing shoulders with the average appreciative punter. Truly the sign of a very popular venue. Best to ring and book esp if a group. |

I am a regular at Shikara since 2006 never been dissatisfied with the food or service. |

Tod's was a wonderful evening. Great intimate atmosphere, but not stuffy, it felt like a french bistro; all the emphasis was on the wonderful food. We had mussels for starter, which was divine, and a large portion even sharing between 2!!... Gorgeous garlicy cream sauce and massive plump mussels. We had duck (a special) and steak for main couses and both were great. A complimentary whiskey and bottle of wine and the meal was still only £27 each including a generous tip for the very relaxed and attentive waiters who let us take our time over our meal. Really a fantastic little find!! |

I lived in Sheppard’s bush as a child and moved to Hayes Middlesex when 10 years old. I still visit Cooke when I can. The pie mash and liquor is the same as I remember it as a child, great food! This is what makes me proud to be a Londoner! |

lived locally for years and have meant to visit this restaurant as i had heard good things and finally did last saturday as my friend booked her birthday dinner there. i chose the special of the evening for my starter, home made tagliolini with black winter truffle, divine and for main fritto misto deep fried seafood as i felt in a picking mood. shared a dessert, chocolate fondant......what girl doesn't like chocolate? and we had birthday cake...blood orange and mascarpone with our coffee which the restaurant had prepared....complete with candles and staff singing happy birthday... really enjoyed it and don't KNOW why i hadn't been to this treat years before!!!! |

I live in Southampton and it is worth the rail journey just for a donor. Pity you cannot get one as good down here thought branching out of London. |

Amazing food, very well presented and most of all very tasty. Service is friendly and good, but sometimes too busy to get all attention i'd like. Live music is fantastic, and even when there isn't any, restaurant has charm. |
