The stars of the food and drink business and restaurant-goers joined together to honour restaurateurs and chefs from all over the capital at the Moët & Chandon London Restaurant Awards at Le Meridien Grosvenor House, Park Lane on Monday April 3rd.

The annual Awards, now in their fifth year, are now the most prestigious event in London's restaurant calendar. LondonEats.com was also watching with, as ever - a critical eye.

With 12 different category places up for grabs and thousands of London restaurants to choose from, competition is very fierce, but the rewards are overwhelming. If the restaurants didn't already have a huge waiting list for a table, you can bet they will soon have.

The winners are listed below and if you thought for one minute that LondonEats.com was going to promote the category winners, just because they've won an awardthink again.

Next year, LondonEats.com would like to see more budget restaurants nominated. Great food doesn't have to cost lots of money. How about a category for best Fish 'n Chip shop or best Bacon-Butty?
